Tips for a successful application
The chances of being allocated an exchange place in the main application phase can be increased by a careful combination of the chosen partner universities.
Increase your chances
As the number of places at each partner university is limited, you can increase your chances by indicating many different priorities
- High chance: Many different European, non-European and Swiss priorities
- Medium chance: A few non-European and European priorities, or only many non-European priorities
- Low chance: Very few non-European and European priorities
Semester flexibility
At the so-called ETH-wide non-European (worldwide) partner universities, you will be asked whether you are flexible in your choice of semester when you apply. By answering yes, you increase your chances and at the same time confirm that you have checked both semesters (e.g. compatibility with your ETH degree programme, courses offered at the partner university).
An overview of all non-European partner universities with ETH-wide agreements can be found on this website or in the Mobility-Online portal (last column "Programme").
